Audio Story

I have had difficulty with this project on many different fronts. The first thing that I am not happy about is how bad the audio sounds. Since it did not sound like this while I was editing it, I assume that sound cloud ruined its quality. Another thing that I don’t like about my audio story is that currently I am not telling a very good story. It more of a general interview with my dad. I plan on adding audio bits from other people or more likely audio from myself as a narrator. I think my narration could add a lot to my project and give the interview breaks that will add direction for the discussion. I would definitely like to break up my dad with other people. I think it would speed up my story which seems to drag on about useless information at some points. I would also cut out part of my current interview in order to create room for the other audio.

Logo

The first thing I changed on my logo was to add the background gradient. I made a rectangle the size of the entire canvas and filled it with a gradient; it took a lot of playing around before I decided to go with the colors I chose. Next I took Liz’s advice and deleted the extra horizontal line. Also, I reversed the gradient within my remaining line. This made it so that the black of my spiral J flowed into the black of the horizontal top. I also created a new spiral; I made it bigger with more spirals and a longer straight part so that it more closely resembled a J. I kept the drop shadow the same on the spiral and felt that it looked more evident now that the background was not white. I thought that my logo was somewhat boring. Liz included a slogan on her logo and I liked how that added to her image, and gave a message that resembled her. So I added a slogan line. I also think it fits really well since it matches my logo. I have a spiral that looks like it may never end since there is a small blank spot in the very middle of it. Therefore, I made my slogan, “A never-ending journey to the center of yourself”. Since I am doing about me for my project, it seems appropriate because even within the project I am required to examine myself, and see what I can create. To make it pop a little I gave it an arc, chrome color, outer glow, and a drop shadow.
